We like to look back every now and again.
On 13th July 2012 Harborne Orchestra held a concert at St Mary’s Church, Bearwood, with conductor Pat Ryan, and Leader Anne Weston, and Chris Quince played a Sonata for Bassoon.
For a few years St Mary’s was a regular venue for the concerts, and they were well supported by the Church. The interval refreshments they provided in the Summer very often included a glass of wine and strawberries.
The programme was:
Hungarian March H Berlioz
A Little Suite: The Bird’s Lament R R Bennett
Sonata for Bassoon and Piano G Schreck (C Quince, bassoon & D. Hiley, piano)
Two pieces from ‘Sigrid Jorsalfar’ E Grieg
INTERVAL
Joyeuse March E Chabrier
Symphony No.92 in G Major J Haydn
Adagio, Allegro
Adagio Cantabile
Minuet & Trio
Presto
